Commuter students are welcome on campus Monday through Friday and take part in the full academic day alongside their residential peers. Each morning, students arrive with an approved guardian between 8:00 and 8:30 AM and check in with our staff at the program office, located in our residence hall.

Pickup works the same way: an approved guardian signs the student out at the program office anytime between 4:00 and 9:00 PM, depending on which afternoon and evening activities the student chooses to join. Commuters are welcome to participate in clubs from 4:30 to 6:00 PM and evening activities from 7:30 to 8:30 PM.

Commuter tuition includes lunch each day. Students receive a Dartmouth dining card in their name, preloaded with enough funds to cover lunch every day they are on campus. Commuters are welcome to eat breakfast and dinner on campus at their own expense; all campus dining locations accept debit and credit cards, including tap to pay.

Commuters are welcome to participate in clubs from 4:30 to 6:00 PM and evening activities from 7:30 to 8:30 PM each weekday.

Weekend activities are not included in commuter tuition. Commuter students who wish to participate may purchase their own tickets and arrange their own transportation. When space is available on program transportation, these experiences may be added for a supplemental fee.

Two-week fully on-campus residential courses have a commuter option. The Leadership Institute does not offer a commuter option.
